Welcome to the DAV Website
The DAV is a non-profit association which exists to promote debate. It is the peak debating body in Victoria and runs large competitions for adults and for schools across Victoria. It provides training and resources for debaters, teachers and adjudicators.

Registration - 2024 Teacher In-service

The DAV Teacher Inservice is for school teachers, librarians, debating coordinators, and anyone interested in debating.

The program will be held on Wednesday 21 February at the Stamford Plaza Hotel, Little Collins St, Melbourne is intended for secondary school staff.

Sessions will cover:

  • Introduction to Debating
  • Introduction to Adjudication
  • Advanced Debating Strategy

    • PRICING INFORMATION

    $240 if attending all 3 sessions.

    $180 for any two sessions.

    $100 for single sessions.

    Discounts available for multiple staff from the same school.

  • Teacher resources, arrival tea/coffee, morning tea and lunch provided for all attendees.
