Welcome to the DAV Website
The DAV is a non-profit association which exists to promote debate. It
is the peak debating body in Victoria and runs large competitions for
adults and for schools across Victoria. It provides training and
resources for debaters, teachers and adjudicators.

Registration is now open for the DAV's annual Easter Debate Camp program, to be held in the Easter school holidays from Tuesday 2 April to Thursday 4 April at City Cite, Level 12/474 Flinders St, Melbourne.
This camp is a novice program, open to students in years 9-12 with little to no understanding of debating.
The non-residential camp will run from 9am-4pm each day and will consist of seminars on recurring debating themes, workshops to improve debating and public speaking skills, and the chance to participate in multiple debates to receive feedback from experienced adjudicators.
The cost to attend will be $300 per student for the 3-day program or $120 for single day registrations, inclusive of lunch.
Registration is due by 4pm, Wednesday 27th March or when we reach capacity. Please note that our Debate Camp programs are quite popular and spaces often fill quickly, so we encourage you to register as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
