Welcome to the DAV Website
The DAV is a non-profit association which exists to promote debate. It
is the peak debating body in Victoria and runs large competitions for
adults and for schools across Victoria. It provides training and
resources for debaters, teachers and adjudicators.
Harangue Issue 2, 2014 is now available! -
March 27th
A new issue of Harangue, the DAV's Student Publication, is now available for download on the DAV website. Harangue is an excellent, free resource for student debaters and is prepared on a volunteer basis by our adjudicators and publications officer. In this issue, our writers expose some common debating myths, offer some great hints on rebuttal, identify a number of common speaker issues and teach debaters how to get the "sass factor" in their speech.
